| Can one substitute with Sonic ISDN-VoIP-Gateways the whole telephone landline? |
In principle yes but you need the necessary Internet/LAN/WAN-bandwidth, to route all wished ISDN-calls via IP and sometimes (depending on the used provider) there are no emergency
calls possible.
Example:
ADC341 is able to substitute a 4 x BRI ISDN-connection -> The necessary Internet/LAN/WAN-bandwidth is min. circa 640 kbit/s = 80 kbyte/s (per Down-/Upstream). With compression
analogous less. Additionally you have to keep in mind, that the used VoIP-provider must not support all telephone features like e.g. emergency calls etc.
